Google’s “diversity indoctrination meetings” held in secret to avoid leaving any paper trail

The fired Google engineer who penned a 10-page memo that went viral within the company and throughout the U.S. hinted in a recent interview that the media and technology giant operates more like a Left-wing cult demanding full compliance than a business.

As reported by Breitbart News, James Damore, who is said to be contemplating legal action against Google following his firing, talked about secret diversity meetings he was required to attend that left no paper trail because the company does not want anyone to be able to trace them.

He also talked about the “potential racism” at the company, virtue signaling, and the manner in which employees working for Silicon Valley firms who are not uber-Left-wing have to keep their political thoughts to themselves.

In an interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson, Damore noted very quickly that being fired from Google had nothing at all to do with his job performance.

“I got promoted twice, my last review was the highest possible, superb, which is the top few percentile,” he said. “So it definitely wasn’t based on performance that they fired me.”

Then he noted:

A month and a half ago I went to one of our diversity summits, all of it unrecorded and super secret, and they told me a lot of things that I thought were just not right. They were telling us about a lot of these potentially illegal practices that they’d been doing in order to increase diversity… Basically treating people differently based on their race or gender.

Peterson responded, “So you mean racism.”

“Yeah, basically,” confirmed Damore. “Most meetings at Google are recorded, anyone at Google can watch it, we’re trying to be really open about everything, except for this. They don’t want any paper for any of these things…because I think it’s illegal.”

Continuing, he told the psychiatrist that there are “a lot of ways in which they pressure people to ‘increase the diversity’ of their team, and there’s no way to do that besides actually choosing someone based on their race or gender.”

Damore also said that his manifesto, which was critical of the media-technology giant’s “anti-conservative culture” and truth bombs regarding gender differences in the tech industry, was published about a month ago; it wasn’t until it was leaked that the company started having a problem with it and moving to distance itself from it.

“It was only after it went viral and got leaked to the news that Google started caring,” Damore said, as Breitbart News reported. “It sucks, but at least I was proven right. The whole culture just tries to silence any dissenting view… I don’t know how they can expect to silence engineers and intelligent people and just deny science like this.” (Related: Facebook will push more left-wing FAKE NEWS by “flagging” real news as fake.)

As for the diversity program he attended at Google, Damore had more to say:

— “I heard things that I definitely disagreed with in some of our programs. I had some discussions there, there was lots of just shaming, and ‘No you can’t say that, that’s sexist,’ and ‘You can’t do this.’ There’s just so much hypocrisy in the things they are saying. I decided to create the document to clarify my thoughts.”

— Regarding support for him, “There may be a lot of negative responses in the public. But very few of them actually send me messages. They just want to virtue signal to all their followers, ‘I’m a great person, I share your morals, this person is bad.’”

He added that no one who said they disagreed ever wanted to seriously debate his contentions and points because “they just want to show how self-righteous they are.”

He did say he’s also “gotten a ton of personal messages of support…”
