Leftist gun-grabber darling David Hogg demands apology over college rejection jab: Where is HIS apology to NRA, gun owners for his vile attacks?

Monday, April 02, 2018 by

Last week, the American Left’s newest gun control darling, Parkland, Florida high school senior David Hogg took time out from his shameless attacks on the Second Amendment to note that despite having a 4.1 grade point average, four universities had rejected his applications.

Hogg’s revelations were met with just a smidge of mocking scorn from Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who tweeted, “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.)”

She happens to be right. Acceptance rates at the nation’s top colleges are exceedingly low. Such institutions can afford to be picky; they didn’t earn their reputations as being top colleges by accepting just any student.

It could also be that perhaps those schools didn’t want a lightning rod as a student. We may never know.

What we do know is that young Mr. Hogg, the anti-gun provocateur, can sure dish out the abuse, but he can’t take a little mild ribbing.

Angered by Ingraham’s tweet, Hogg took to Twitter to shame her — and disrupt her livelihood by listing her top advertisers and calling on his 600,000-plus herd of sheep followers to bleat their outrage and demand — demand — that those advertisers drop the program.

Some have; as reported by the Alt-Left New York Daily News, which was no doubt reported it gleefully, at least seven cowardly advertisers have dropped Ingraham’s program. Seems she’s ‘not allowed’ to take a jab at a mouthy kid who takes full advantage of his outsized media access to attack people he doesn’t know over a cause he has been handed by the gun-hating Pravda media.

That said, Ingraham apologized to the waif, in the “spirit of Holy Week” and because she wanted to ensure him she was not attacking the “brave Parkland survivors.” Class, Laura, all the way.

Not good enough for young Mr. Hogg. He responded to her tweet accusing her of being disingenuous and only wanting to save her advertising base. No class.

Speaking of apologies, Ben Shapiro, editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire and someone who is very familiar with ‘student activism’ because he himself was a teen on the national stage not long ago, thinks it’s young Mr. Hogg who owes some apologies.

To the National Rifle Association, which takes gun rights seriously and stands up for the Second Amendment every bit as much as the American Civil Liberties Union stands up for the First Amendment and suspected terrorists. To NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch, whom he attacked as a “spectacle” and someone who is not at all concerned about the deaths of 17 people at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Feb. 14.

To Republicans in general, whom he and his little anti-gun friends savaged for weeks after the attacks — but not the shooter, Nikolas Cruz, or the coward armed cop who remained outside why they were inside while their classmates were being gunned down.

To Republican Gov. Rick Scott, who has as little to do with the shooting as young Mr. Hogg, Republicans, and the NRA.

To Education Secretary Betsy Devos, whom he accused of being a “pawn of corporate America” (and doesn’t that sound like a Marxist Democrat throw-away line?).

To Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., for daring to take a donation from an organization defending a constitutional right.

Yes, there are apologies owed, for certain. And young Mr. Hogg has his share of them to make as well.

He can start by apologizing to Ingraham for threatening her livelihood in a way she has never done to him or his family.
